Kristin Fischer will join CNN as its Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. As the Correspondent for Defence and Space at CNN, she's responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and its newly created Space Force up until commercial space firms, as well as the growth and advent of tourism to space. Kristin is the daughter of two NASA astronauts. Kristin has grown up in the world of space as well as covered Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. She also covered the 2020 presidential campaign and the efforts of two administrations to combat the coronavirus. In addition, she traveled with President Trump and the Vice President often. The trip included a shady trip to Afghanistan. Kristin has worked in the local news markets of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to joining the network. She was awarded the Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as an CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Kristin began Field Mouse Films with her skills behind the camera back in the year 2014. Field Mouse Films specialized in creating documentary films for corporate clients including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin is a graduate in Journalism from Boston University. Kristin lives with husband, daughter and three-year-old in Washington, D.C.
